Maui Region Transition: August 30

Despite news reports that the transition to Kaiser Permanente is delayed until July 1, 2017, there is still a possibility that the State may reach a deal with UPW that will allow the transition to occur on November 6. The State is offering HGEA a proposal equal or similar to UPW's. We will continue to advocate on your behalf for the best possible agreement.
Please note that even if a deal is reached with either or both unions, it is not clear how Kaiser will proceed regarding the transition date.
