State reaches deal with Kaiser Permanente for HHSC Maui Region Hospitals

The state of Hawaii and Kaiser Permanente will enter into an agreement today for Kaiser to take over operations of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) Maui Region hospitals.
Meetings will be arranged with Kaiser Permanente representatives to discuss a transition agreement which will cover the employees until a contract is negotiated with the new employer.
