HHSC Maui Region Employees Contract Information Update

We understand and acknowledge that the current uncertainty with the transition of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation Maui Region to Kaiser Permanente is causing anxiety and frustration. Please know that your HGEA negotiating team continues to advocate for you and fought hard to deliver a fair contract.
That contract is still in effect.
Units 3 & 4
We have confirmed with the HHSC that employees in Units 3 & 4 will receive the negotiated lump sum bonus of $1,200 for the contract year that begins July 1, 2016. Workers who were employed as of June 30, 2016, shall receive a one-time lump-sum payment of $1,200. Part-time employees (less that 100% Full Time Employees) shall receive a pro-rated amount.
Unit 9
Employees in Unit 9 will receive a 4% across-the-board increase.
All of the payroll transactions will be reflected on July 20 for payroll lag employees and on August 5 for after-the-fact employees.
Unit 2
The next scheduled across-the-board increase for Unit 2 is October 1, 2016.
Unit 13
Next scheduled across-the-board increase for Unit 13 is January 1, 2017.
Step movements will continue for those employees entitled to a step movement up until a revised transition date is determined.
Recognizing the current situation and that initial offers were disappointing, it is our expectation that Kaiser will make adjustments and re-issue job offers at a later date.
