Improved Version of Senate Bill 2077 Passes

May 05, 2016

Thank you to all who submitted testimony, called or talked to legislators regarding Senate Bill 2077. We are pleased to let you know that a clean version of the bill unanimously passed both the House and Senate. This bill provides relief to employees of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, Maui Region, who are adversely affected by privatization.

Now, the bill goes to Governor David Ige who has three options: sign it, veto it, or let it become law without his signature.

Once again, thank you for contacting legislators, we truly are stronger together. Details of what is included in the legislation will be forthcoming.
